Welcome to the Gales Ferry Fire Company Web Site. The Gales Ferry Fire Company is a full service fire company responding to fires, medical emergencies, rescue incidents (such as motor vehicle accidents and confined spaces), and hazardous materials incidents.

We pride ourselves in our "can do" spirit and ensure our firefighters and emergency medical technicians are properly equipped and trained. We are always looking for new volunteers and would welcome you as a member of our winning team.

In addition to our firefighting force, we welcome volunteers to help in others ways. If you do not desire to be a fire fighter, but would like to be involved, we have membership categories for emergency medical technicians, apparatus driver/operators, and fire police.

Our emergency medical technicians are the backbone of the community first responder program. Trained in basic life support skills, they are first on the scene to help our neighbors in need.

Our apparatus driver/operators provide a corps of dedicated men and women who ensure our emergency equipment makes it to the scene for all emergencies. These personnel are the backbone of our fireground support system and free our firefighters to fight fire vice pump water.

Finally, our fire police are key to both public and firefighter safety. They ensure safety by establsihing traffic control schemes to allow us to work safely and keep the public at a safe distance.
