Engine R-21

This is R-21, our engine.  With a 1500 gpm pump and a 1000 gallon water tank this is our second attack engine to structure fires in our district.

 

 

 

 

Engine R-22

This is R-22, our newest engine.  With a 500 gpm pump, 283 gallon water tank and 17 gallon foam pro system this is our primary brush truck and R1 vehicle.

 

 

 

 

Tanker R-24

This is R-24, our tanker truck. This truck holds 3000 gallons of water and carries a portable water supply tank and serves as our portable water supply for non-hydrant areas.

 

 

 

 

Ladder R-25

This is R-25, our ladder truck.  With a 1500 gpm pump, 500 gallon water tank and a 65 foot ladder equipped with a 1000 gpm nozzle this is our primary attack engine to structure fires in our district.
 

 

 

 

Brush R-26

This is R-26, our supplemental brush truck.  Equipped with a 200 gallon water tank and a 300 gpm water pump this truck serves as our supplemental brush truck.

 

 

 

 

Rescue R-27

This is R-27, our rescue truck. Built by Marion, R-27 is equipped with various items such as confined space entry equipment, extrication tools, EMS supplies, HAZMAT supplies and information resources, mass casualty supplies and a command post.


Retired trucks

 

Retired Engine R-22

This used to be R-22, this truck was the 1960 State Champion Engine! After helping the people of Gales Ferry for 29 years she went into retirement and was donated to the United Nations to help rebuild the fire services in Bosnia.

 

 

 

 

Retired Engine R-23

This used to be R-23, she served Gales Ferry for 25 years as an attack engine with a 500 gallon water tank and a 750 gpm water pump.
 

 

 

 

 

Retired Tanker R-24

This used to be R-24, our tanker truck. She served the community from 1980 until 2002. This truck held 2500 gallons of water and served as our portable water supply for the non-hydrant areas.
